'Snow White' victorious with $56.3 mil; 'Avengers' becomes third biggest movie

Stars discuss the dark twist on the animated classic

-- "Snow White and the Huntsman" was awoken to the tune of $56.3 million this weekend, according to studio estimates.

That's a big win for Universal Pictures, especially considering that the studio's last film, the sinking big-budget bomb known as "Battleship," opened to less than half that amount two weeks ago.

Jason Alexander apologizes for calling cricket (the game) 'gay'

"Not that there's anything wrong with that!"

That was the famous catch phrase spawned by Jerry and George (played by Jerry Seinfeld and Jason Alexander) on an episode of 'Seinfeld' when they were denying that they were a gay couple.

Now Alexander is having to apologize for calling the sport of cricket "gay" on a talk show.

Alexander called the popular British sport a "gay game" Friday on the "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson."

Breast Cancer Risk Associated With Sex Hormones Reduced By Losing Weight

The Journal of Clinical Oncology has published a study online which reveals that even a moderate amount of weight loss can considerably decrease levels of circulating estrogens that are linked to a higher risk ofbreast cancer.

Anne McTiernan, M.D., Ph.D., and her team from the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center conducted the first randomized, controlled clinical trial to assess what impact weight loss may have on sex hormones in those with an elevated risk of breast cancer, i.e. overweight and obese postmenopausal women.

KYLIE MINOGUE CONFIRMS JASON DONOVAN REUNION

KYLIE MINOGUE has confirmed she will perform with JASON DONOVAN at a London tribute concert in honour of legendary pop production team STOCK AITKEN WATERMAN.

Singer and TV presenter MYLEENE KLASS has split from her husband after six months of marriage - according to reports.

The star is said to be devastated after Graham Quinn reportedly walked out on her and their two children on her birthday in April (06Apr12).

A friend tells The Sun, "Their wedding was the happiest day of her life but now it's all over. Myleene had no idea that Graham was gong to leave her. They only got married a few months ago and she thought everything between them was great. It came as a massive shock to Myleene and she's heartbroken. Graham has barely been in touch since. It seems he woke up one day and realised he didn't want to be married anymore."
