SUPERMODEL LIMA PREGNANT

Lingerie model ADRIANA LIMA is pregnant with her second child.

The 30-year-old Victoria's Secret stunner has confirmed she is expecting another baby with husband, Serbian basketball player Marko Jaric, later this year (12).
Lima announced the baby news via Twitter.com on Tuesday (20Mar12), writing, "Big news everyone! Marko and I are so happy to share some wonderful news with all of you! #ImPregnant."
Lima and Jaric became first-time parents to daughter Valentina in November, 2009, nine months after exchanging vows on Valentine's Day (14Feb09).
The Brazilian beauty tells People.com, "The entire family is very excited, especially Valentina. She keeps blowing kisses to my belly and saying, 'Kisses for the baby.'"

DAMASCUS/AMMAN: According to Agence Presse France Presse Syria's state news agency SANA said Wednesday that a number of security officials and civilians were killed in a suicide car bombing in the southern province of Daraa.
"A number of law enforcement members, several civilians were martyred Tuesday when a suicide terrorist exploded a booby-trapped car" targeting security forces on the Al-Musefra-Busra road in the Daraa countryside, it said.

Taking a daily dose of aspirin lowers the chance of dying from cancer by more than a third, major research shows today.
It reveals that the pills not only reduce the likelihood of contracting the illness, they also protect against it spreading.Oxford scientists say the evidence is so strong that in future the NHS watchdog NICE may issue guidelines telling doctors to prescribe aspirin to cancer sufferers.
In one of a series of studies involving 200,000 patients, the academics found aspirin cut the risk of dying of cancer by 37 per cent if patients took it every day for five years.

Another study found that taking aspirin for three years reduced the chance of men developing cancer by 23 per cent, and women by 25 per cent.
Researchers also found that once patients had been diagnosed with cancer, their chance of it spreading was cut by 55 per cent if they took  daily doses of aspirin for at least six and a half years.
For some time scientists have known that aspirin protects against certain types of cancer, particularly those affecting the bowel and throat.
But this is the first time they have revealed it

Adele surpasses Pink Floyd in all-time biggest selling albums chart   London: Adele’s second album ‘21’ has overtaken Pink Floyd’s landmark 1973 release, ‘The Dark Side Of The Moon’, in the UK best-selling albums list.

The 23-year-old singer’s album, including hits like ‘Rolling In The Deep’ and ‘Someone Like You’, has now sold more than 4,142,000 copies, making it the seventh biggest-selling album of all-time.

Sales figures from the Official Charts Company show it is also just 12,000 copies away from the sixth best-selling album, Dire Straits’ long player ‘Brothers In Arms’, and is likely to move further up the chart soon.

“As every week goes by, another record seems to tumble in front of Adele,” the Telegraph quoted the company’s managing director Martin Talbot as saying.

The IPL Opening Nite will be held at the YMCA Grounds in Chennai a day before the start of the Twenty20 cricket league.
"We look forward to Ms. Perry`s participation at the DLF IPL 2012 Opening Nite. A performer of her calibre makes the occasion even more special for the IPL family ? players, organisers and fans. The verve and originality of her music matches that of the competition and we look forward to an inspired performance from her," IPL chairman Rajeev Shukla, said in a statement.
Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachhan, Priyanka Chopra and Salman Khan will also be part of the opening ceremony, which will begin at 7:30 pm.
The venue gates will be thrown open to the audience from 5:00 pm.
The sale of the tickets, pegged at a starting price of Rs 1,500, would be on sale from March 16.
