Katy Perry is the latest superstar singer to shoot a homemade video of herself and friends partying along to Bieber protégé and Canadian singer Carly Rae Jepsen's undeniably catchy hit, "Call Me Maybe." After a
video featuring Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Ashley Tisdale and friends goofing along to the song went viral, thousands of YouTubers have been chiming in with their own videos, including actor James Franco.
While by the swanky pool of what is likely a rented house in near the Coachella Music Festival last weekend ("Coachella!" cheers were made during the video), Katy Perry and friends danced with inflatable monkeys, posed, and acted adorably silly for the camera while blasting the song. Towards the end, Perry took over the camera, giving her friends direction to emulate the Bieber video and ended the shot with "We love you Justin Bieber!" The freshly purple-haired singer allowed herself the luxury of singing along to the song effortlessly (read: poorly), which I'm sure is always a well-deserved respite for her chart-topping pipes.
For those of you who may not have experienced the off-site Coachella phenomenon, renting a house with a pool, stuffing it with besties, and partying from morning to night is the essential way to do Coachella when you're not at the festival! Don't we all wish we were having that much fun with Katy and friends?

LOS ANGELES: R&B superstar Beyonce gave fans some insight into her private life on Thursday with the relaunch of her website, featuring intimate snapshots of her daily routines the singer has carefully shielded from the public until now.
"This is my life, today, over the years - through my eyes. My family, my travels, my love. This is where I share with you. This will continue to grow as I do," the singer wrote on her new website.
Beyonce.com features a montage of candid shots from the singer's personal life including pictures of her on holiday, with her husband, rapper Jay-Z, and family and during her pregnancy.
One 15-second video shows the singer posing by a blue ivy tree during while pregnant, which perhaps provided the inspiration for her newborn daughter's name, Blue Ivy Carter.
"It's been a long time coming, but I finally have my own place on the web," the singer posted on her Facebook page, where she has 34 million fans.
Beyonce also took the opportunity of launching her new site to tweet her 3.5 million Twitter fans for first time.
The "Single Ladies" singer has kept her private life under wraps in the past, including getting married to Jay-Z in a shroud of secrecy in April 2008 and waiting five months after the event to debut her wedding ring.

However the trio were nearly outshone on set today, as they were surrounded by a bevy of other bikini-clad girls.
The girls, alongside co-star Rachel Korine, were filming a party scene with loud music playing at a hotel, and fellow spring breakers drinking and dancing.

She added: 'It's all done in the craziest manic way. There's a bit of craziness inside of me as well, so I'm excited to let loose.'

katy Perry is so excited about the prospect of a collaboration with BFF Rihanna, she may have put her foot in her mouth discussing the potential project.
Perry weighed in on the forthcoming song (which undoubtedly will be a catchy #1 hit with those two working together), with an apparent dig at Beyonce:
"We've collaborated on things, just not songs yet. It's one of those things that's got so much build-up that we have to deliver," she said on BBC Radio 1.
"I want it to be like that Eurythmics and Aretha Franklin song 'Sisters Are Doin' It for Themselves,' not 'Beautiful Liar.' I definitely want to do something iconic."
Beyonce's 2007 track "Beautiful Liar," featuring Shakira, isn't her best song, but it did reach No. 1 on the iTunes best-seller list and U.S. Hot Singles Sales.
Perry doesn't have a reputation for starting beef with other celebs, so we're guessing she did not mean it as an insult ... even if it sort of reads that way.

And it appears that all of Miley Cyrus's grueling work outs are paying off.
The 19-year-old Hannah Montana flashed her extremely flat washboard abs yesterday as she hung out with some friends in Studio City, Los Angeles.

Miley was accompanied by two friends during her outing, and looked happy and content to have a relaxing day just hanging out.
Throughout the day the star took her ride to a car wash and got a bite to eat.
While Miley is in Los Angeles, her boyfriend Liam Hemsworth is in the Big Apple where he continues to promote his upcoming film The Hunger Games, and will tonight attend the New York premiere.

At the event Miley once again showed off her stomach in a stunning glittery black bustier and matching maxi skirt, both by Pucci, but she insisted she wouldn’t be stealing the spotlight from her Australian other half.
She said: ‘He looks way better than me, trust me. He’s got on a beautiful Dolce suit and he just looks so handsome.’

But she admitted she didn’t consult him when it came to her wardrobe choices for the evening.

While the hot Hollywood couple may live a glamorous lifestyle, Miley confessed that their free time is fairly relaxed.
She told interviewers: ‘We have three dogs, so that takes up most of our time. The only time we leave the house is to go to the pet store or take them to the park.’
Miley was also interviewed by Yahoo Movies as she walked the red carpet at the star-studded event.

She added that she had given him some advice about the fame game as she said: ‘I’m really excited. I think just to always remember who was there for you before any of this mattered, I think that is really important.’

Miley and Liam began dating after meeting on the set of The Last Song back in 2009.
